Other States: North Carolina, Tennessee My gg grand parents were WILLIAM WALTON who married NANCY STEWART- they were the parents of my great grand father WILLIAM ALEXANDER WALTON -one record states he was born in WALKER COUNTY GA-- another says GUILFORD COUNTY NC. So I assume they have some sort of connection in both places. I found a WILLAIM and NANCY WALDEN IN 1850 living in WALKER COUNTY GA -- they had a very small daughter ANNE-I could not find them there in 1860--an obituary states that the family moved to TN at the begining of the Civil War-- it also states that WILLIAM ALEXANDER fought in this war. This is very unlikely since he would have been around 7 to 10 years old. WILLIAM ALEXANDER first shows up in TN in 1880 with his wife SARAH ELIZABETH BLAIR--I do not remember which children were born at this time, but here is the list of the ones I know about An obitituary also states they were the parents of 12 children and adopted 5 others. I don't know anything about the parents of WILLIAM ALEXANDER WALTON only their names. The names of the children of William Alexander WALTON and Sarah Elizabeth Blair are: ULAH BLAIR- married HUBERT COVINGTON-- NORVILLE or ORVILLE B 6 Aug 1877 married MAGGIE BULLOCK MARY ADELIA WALTON b 1879 m DR J B HAYES and W.H.
